Say Yum 2005-02-21 - Moist, Juicy Middle Burgers

Moist, Juicy Middle Burgers

It's finally stopped raining and the sun is shining, for a few minutes anyway. We're still beaming from the excitement of the shin-dig with the Dawn and Drew party last night. We had a guest from out of town hang out, so we didn't get to chat about our experience in tonight's show.

So, to take advantage of the pockets of sun, and our new wireless mics we used our outdoor, propane gas grill to cook up some Moist Juicy Middle Burgers Check out the slide show of the process.

This evening we've got a guest, Chris Porter, over for barbequed burgers stuffed with blue cheese and bacon. We're dodging thunder storms to use the BBQ, but it all works out. Porter tells some stories about the restaurant industry, being robbed, and keeps the banter going in the Say Yum kitchen. We were having so much fun that most of the music is all background tonight.

Checked out the Dawn and Drew party in San Francisco last night. Lots of cool people; listeners, casters, developers, and more. Some of the folks we met:
We met many others that we're missing here too. Everyone was so friendly and fun to chat with. Lots of people coming at all this from different angles. What an exciting time :) Remember to tune in to our next show to hear us chatting on the Dawn and Drew party, and don't forget to Say Yum!

It was awesome to meet you guys. Had a great time at the diner afterwards as well. I signed up for your podcast and will listen to all of the episodes, including the 13th (Bakers Dozen) show.

I hope you guys continue to do what you are doing. You two are some of the nicest people. I really enjoyed your company. Thanks for making my trip that much better.

Wow, Dave loves us so much he commented twice ;-) Thanks Dave!

It was great meeting everyone at the Dawn and Drew gathering on Sunday. Nick Starr reminded us that last night's show was our baker's dozen show (#13), but we didn't get around to baking...any food. Curtis does the Sports Pod, which I'm looking forward to listening to on the train home this evening. Thanks for stopping by Nick and Curtis. Come on back now ya' hear.

Thanks Seth. I'm glad you like Chris' stories. I really didn't even know he had such great ones, but once he got talking it did start getting interesting. Defintely a cool episode. Looking forward to WHYME 8 later this week.

I had a great time at the D&D get-together. I felt like I'd talked Kris' ear off. ;)

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you Devan, but maybe we'll get a chance to cross paths again. Butler suggested setting up a Bay Area MeetUp or something. I think that could be kinda fun!

It was really exciting and fun to chat with folks who are doing great stuff. I'm now glad I have a long, crappy commute... because I have the time to listen to some super-great podcasts. =)

i really enjoy your pod cast. be sure to check out the beer related recipes in the most recent Gourmet. just one technical note -- do you run your pod cast through a limiter? sometimes when you talk loud into the mics you blow my ears away. one audio process would fix this for good.
